Korean Hangul Day Celebrated Oct. 9th
Oct. 9th, 2019, in the MRU Rotunda Hall, Korea's Alphabet Day, Hangul, was celebrated. In 2014, on this day, the Vilnius King Sejong Institute (KSI) was opened.

Oct. 9th, 2018, in MRU's Rotunda Hall, the King Sejong Institute (KSI) Vilnius organized the Korean Alphabet Day, Hangeul, celebration. Participants learned more about the art of calligraphy, making bracelets, and got to cook and taste Kimchi pancakes, play games.

Sept. 7th, 2018, traditional Korean dancers from Cheongju, Korea, performed at the opening of a calligraphy dance exhibit at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). Korea's Ambassador to Lithuania Sung-joo Choi, residing in Warsaw, attended the exhibition opening and addressed participants. MRU Rector Assoc. Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius addressed those gathered including 28 calligraphers from Korea that were on hand at the opening.

July 9-27th, 2018, MRU Communication Institute Lecturer Gintarė Gulevičiūtė presented a series of lectures on Digital Marketing and Social Media at Korea's Dongseo University (DSU) in Busan. The lectures were held as part of the Asia Summer Programme 2018 held at DSU. Gulevičiūtė said she was surprised how safe she felt in Korea and by technologically advanced ultramodern universities, which want to be as open as possible.
